Common questions
Do I pay if you can't tell me what's wrong?
The initial consultation is free. It tells you whether the fault is physical or logical and how the data is best recovered. You only pay once you agree to a clean room diagnostic or to recovery work.
What is a donor drive and why might I need one?
When a hard drive has failed mechanically, parts such as the read heads often have to be taken from an identical working drive. That drive is the donor. You buy it through a link we send you, or we buy it for you with a 30% mark-up plus import charges and VAT.
Are these prices the same wherever I am in London?
Yes. The price list is the same for every customer. See data recovery by London borough for how to get your device to us.
Do the prices include VAT?
The list shows prices before VAT, and each table gives the VAT-inclusive figure underneath.
