XPS laptops pack a lot into a slim aluminium and carbon-fibre case. That makes them a pleasure to carry and more involved to repair: the display is a sealed assembly, the battery fills most of the base, and on many XPS 13 models the memory is soldered to the motherboard.

If the trackpad is lifting
A trackpad that has become stiff, raised or hard to click on an XPS is usually being pushed up by a swelling battery underneath. Stop charging the laptop and bring it in. A swollen battery should be replaced promptly, and doing it early avoids damage to the trackpad and the case.

Common questions
Can you upgrade the memory in my XPS?
It depends on the model. Many XPS 13 models have memory soldered to the board, so only the SSD can be upgraded. The XPS 15 and 17 generally have memory slots. We'll check your exact model.
How much is an XPS screen replacement?
It depends on the panel: Full HD, 4K and OLED screens are priced very differently. Send us the model and we'll quote for the exact part.
Can you collect my Dell XPS from Fulham or Central London?
Collection and return can be arranged for homes and offices across Fulham and Central London. Ask when you call 020 7237 6805 and we'll confirm what's possible for your postcode. You're also welcome to bring it to the workshop at Willow Walk, SE1, Monday to Saturday.
Is the repair guaranteed?
Yes. Parts we fit and motherboard repairs carry a 90-day warranty. If the same fault comes back in that time, bring the machine in and we'll put it right.
