The 13 inch MacBook Pro with Apple's M1 or M2 chip runs cool and lasts all day. When it does go wrong, it is usually the screen, a spill or the battery.
These were the first MacBook Pros with Apple silicon, in the familiar 13 inch case with a Touch Bar and two Thunderbolt ports. The memory and storage are both part of the logic board, so neither can be upgraded after purchase.

Screens on Apple silicon MacBooks
The display on these models is thin and sits very close to the keyboard when the lid is shut. Something as small as a crumb or a webcam cover left on the keyboard can crack it. The fix is a new display assembly.
What can't be upgraded
Because the memory and storage are built into the logic board, the specification you bought is the one you keep. If you are running out of space, we can help you move files to external storage or to a new Mac.

How long does an M1 MacBook Pro screen replacement take?
When the display for your model is in stock it is often done the same day. Call ahead and we'll check.
Can you recover my files if this Mac won't turn on?
On this generation the storage is part of the logic board and is encrypted by the Mac's own security chip, so it can't simply be removed and read. Getting the data back means repairing the logic board far enough to copy it off, which is exactly what our component-level repair is for. See Mac data recovery.
Can you collect my Mac from Fulham or Central London?
Collection and return can be arranged for homes and offices across Fulham and Central London. Ask when you call 020 7237 6805 and we'll confirm what's possible for your postcode. You're also welcome to bring it to the workshop at Willow Walk, SE1, Monday to Saturday.
Is the repair guaranteed?
Yes. Parts we fit and motherboard repairs carry a 90-day warranty. If the same fault comes back in that time, bring the machine in and we'll put it right.
