The 2021 redesign brought back MagSafe, HDMI and the SD card slot, and dropped the Touch Bar. We repair the M1 Pro, M1 Max, M2 Pro and M2 Max models.
These are the squarer 14 and 16 inch MacBook Pros with a Liquid Retina XDR display and a notch for the camera. They are extremely capable machines, and they are costly to replace, which makes component-level repair well worth doing.

The XDR display
The mini-LED display in these models is superb and expensive. A crack or a fault in the backlight means replacing the display assembly. We quote for the exact part for your size and year, so you can weigh it against the value of the Mac.
After a spill
A spill on one of these is worth acting on at once, because the logic board is the most valuable part of the machine.
- Hold the power button until it switches off, and unplug the charger.
- Don't turn it back on to check whether it still works.
- Bring it in as soon as you can. Corrosion starts quickly on a powered board.

Common questions
Is a logic board repair possible on an M1 Pro or M2 Max MacBook Pro?
Often, yes. We trace the fault to the failed component and repair the board itself where that is possible, which costs far less than a replacement board.
Can you recover my files if this Mac won't turn on?
On this generation the storage is part of the logic board and is encrypted by the Mac's own security chip, so it can't simply be removed and read. Getting the data back means repairing the logic board far enough to copy it off, which is exactly what our component-level repair is for. See Mac data recovery.
Can you collect my Mac from Fulham or Central London?
Collection and return can be arranged for homes and offices across Fulham and Central London. Ask when you call 020 7237 6805 and we'll confirm what's possible for your postcode. You're also welcome to bring it to the workshop at Willow Walk, SE1, Monday to Saturday.
Is the repair guaranteed?
Yes. Parts we fit and motherboard repairs carry a 90-day warranty. If the same fault comes back in that time, bring the machine in and we'll put it right.
